Tony Ferguson Stops Salt Papi In His Boxing Debut

In his boxing debut, Tony Ferguson defeated influencer Salt Papi at Misfits 22 via a third-round TKO.

Ferguson weathered an early storm before turning up the pressure and securing the win. The fight began with Salt Papi looking sharp, landing several clean left hands and hooks. Papi found his range and was controlling the pace. In the second round, Ferguson ramped up his aggression. He pushed Papi against the ropes with a series of jabs and body work. The round ended with Papi on his back foot, having taken a number of heavy body shots. The final round saw Ferguson unleash a high-volume attack. He landed a quick combo to Papi’s head, before going to the body and upstairs to keep Papi on the defensive. Ferguson continued with numerous combinations, as the referee stopped the fight. The win ended Ferguson’s poor run of form, where he had lost his last 8 MMA fights in the UFC.
