Leading up to his bout this December versus Paddy Pimblett, UFC veteran Tony Ferguson has enlisted the help of David Goggins to add an extra layer to his preparations.
Not long ago, Ferguson was one of the top competitors in the lightweight division, but unfortunately he has been on a rough streak since 2020, falling short of victory in his last six outings. Clearly something needs to change, and maybe that change is adding an expert in mental strength like Goggins to his team.
Goggins is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, ultra-marathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, triathlete, public speaker, and author of two memoirs. He has cultivated a massive following with his aggressive training antics, motivational discussions, and a ‘Nobody cares, work harder’ mentality.
Yesterday, Goggins took to social media to post a montage of the tough training that he is putting Ferguson through.
Tony Ferguson is going through a “hell week” with former Navy SEAL David Goggins right now.
We are about 5 weeks away from his fight with Paddy The Baddy.

Regardless of the hard times that Ferguson has faced lately within the UFC, he has done amazing things with the organization, garnered a massive fan base, and truly feels that he has the needed gas left in his tank to derail the hype train of the rising Pimblett.
