Harrison (29-3-1, 21 KOs), who had previously marred Charlo’s record a few years ago, had been longing to have their rivalry completely put to rest.
Charlo, though, sustained a fractured left hand while training, leaving Tszyu without an opponent. With that being said, Harrison has offered to get off the couch and take his spot.
In his comments, Harrison said: “I’ll fill in for Charlo so he ain’t gotta go on another 6-month layoff.” Interestingly, both Harrison and Tszyu have positively accepted the concept of a showdown with each other.
To top off his brazen demeanour, Harrison has continuously claimed that if a fight between him and Tszyu could be arranged, he would relish the opportunity to go to Australia, which is Tszyu’s backyard.
It is uncertain whether Harrison will be picked or not. However, with Charlo’s recovery time still uncertain, Tszyu declared that he has no desire to stay inactive.
Tszyu had to struggle to get back on his feet after being knocked down by Terrell Gausha, but eventually won the bout unanimously, proving that he has the x-factor needed to bring in a new wave of fans.
