Tsarukyan Vs. Covington Wrestling Match Set

Number 2 UFC ranked lightweight Arman Tsarukyan and former UFC interim welterweight champ Colby Covington, who recently announced his retirement from MMA, will face off in the July 18th Real American Freestyle main event, following both men winning their separate bouts in RAF 09 over the weekend.

Tsarukyan set the tone after his technical fall win over Mugzy in the opening match of the card. Arman then turned his attention towards Colby: “Tonight we’ve got Colby Covington, I hope he’s going to win and then I can whoop him because number one MMA wrestler is me. I’m going to show everybody who is the best MMA wrestler on these mats.”

Covington, who struggled to a 5-4 victory over Chris Weidman in his first match since retiring, responded in his customary fashion during their face-off: “Arman, you’re a spoiled little brat. You’ve been talking the talk, now let’s see if you can walk the walk. Gas up your daddy’s jet, bring that little jezebel Nina Drama and I’ll see you in Milwaukee July 18.”
