Tszyu Wants Canelo, Charlo, Or Crawford – ‘Everything Is Possible’

Tim Tszyu wants to take on the winner of Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo or Terence Crawford.

The Australian is in impressive form, having racked up 23 wins to remain unbeaten. And 17 of those have come by way of knockout.

And to aid his cause, the 154-pounder will become the WBO champion after Canelo-Charlo begins.

He had been a mandatory for over a year, but the failure to get Charlo in the ring resulted in the WBO stripping the American.

As a result, Tszyu will become the full champion. That has naturally opened up more doors for him, as he aims for legacy-defining fights.

“Charlo has gone the other way. Hopefully, we can get the winner of Canelo – Charlo because I feel that is a big fight to be made as well. My dad fought Julio Cesar Chavez Sr [in July 2000] back in the day, and he grew up watching him.

“Everything is possible, especially when you’re at this level now, when you’re at the very one percent, especially a win over [Brian] Mendoza would be in the line. Yeah, I’d welcome that [Crawford] with both hands as well. Any mega-fight. I’m not scared of no one,” Tszyu said

However, Tszyu must beat his next opponent Brian Mendoza. The latter has won his last three fights by stoppage and is the current WBC interim champion.

But provided Tsyzu overcomes him, then the Australian will be able to command a unification for the bigger fights.
