Two Title Matches Headline GLORY 64
GLORY Kickboxing returns to France on March 9th with GLORY 64 from the Rhénus Sport Arena in Strasbourg, France.
Atop the card are two major title fights, as Harut Grigorian defends his welterweight title for the second time against former champion Cedric Doumbe, and Anissa Meksen makes the first defense in her second reign as super bantamweight champion against former champion Tiffany van Soest.
Grigorian gained the title at GLORY 50 in 2018, stopping Murthel Groenhart in the first round, and had took a decision win over Alim Nabiyev at GLORY 54.
For Doumbe, this is the first shot at the crown since his loss to Groenhart at GLORY 44, where he would lose by split decision. Now, the former champion returns to a title fight with three straight wins over Thongchai Sitsongpeenong, Alan Scheinson and Jimmy Vienot.
In a rematch of their 2017 title fight at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, Anissa Meksen looks to have another dominant performance against van Soset, who has only fought once since losing the title in December 2017
Meksen has fought 11 times over the past two years, including a series with Jady Menezes as they battled for the super bantamweight title at GLORY 56 and GLORY 61.
Van Soest’s only fight following her decision loss to Meksen came at GLORY 55, when she would take a split decision from Sofia Olofsson.
