Two Title Matches Signed For GLORY 61

GLORY Kickboxing announced on Monday that it will return to New York City on November 2nd, as they head to the Hammerstein Ballroom for GLORY 61 New York and the GLORY 61 SuperFight Series.

For the third time in less than a year and the sixth time in company history, GLORY comes to New York City, and will feature two championship clashes in the co-main events.

Josh Jauncey will get his shot at the GLORY lightweight championship, as he faces Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in a rematch of their GLORY 22 lightweight contender tournament final. Sitsongpeenong would walk away with the victory in his GLORY debut and has won all but one fight inside the GLORY ring, with wins over Robin van Rossmalen, Marat Grigorian, among others.

While he’s been on the GLORY roster for four years, Jauncey will get his first shot at a title, earning his shot winning his last two fights against Stoyan Koprivlenski and Christian Baya.

In an immediate rematch of their GLORY 56, Jady Menezes will look to keep her super bantamweight title from rival and former champion Anissa Meksen.

Menezes would take the title and even their career series at GLORY 56 in Meksen’s first loss since 2015, and Meksen looks to reclaim the title she won in New York at GLORY 48.

New York crowd favorite and former interim featherweight champion Kevin Vannostrand has been added to the card, as he will square off with Massaro Glunder, in a rescheduled fight that was to take place in July at GLORY 55.
