Tyron Woodley Undergoes Hand Surgery

It seems no one will main event UFC 230 at this rate, as UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will be out for 8-12 weeks due to hand surgery.

Initially reported by ESPN, Woodley will undergo surgery due to an injury suffered during his last defense against Darren Till at UFC 228, as he would dislocate his thumb and tearing three ligaments in his the thumb.

Woodley was looking to main event at UFC 230 at Madison Square Garden against former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington, and it was rumored that a returning Jon Jones would take the main event spot, but Dana White confirmed that will not be the case.

The current co-main event is Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz for the November 3rd Pay-Per-View at Madison Square Garden.
