There’s just over a week to go before Tyson Fury’s trilogy fight with Derek Chisora, but he’s apparently missed training due to a family emergency.
Tyson Fury Allegedly Misses Training With Derek Chisora Trilogy Fight Looming
According to SunSport, Fury has had to take a break from training after his mother, Amber, became ill. However, he has reportedly gone back to camp to finish his preparations after visiting the hospital to be by her side.
A source from the Fury camp said: “Tyson was really worried when he heard his mum wasn’t well. They’re really close and he just wanted to be with her. It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind but he’s determined he’ll be able to fight next week. After making sure she’s okay, he will return to training as soon as possible. His fans mean everything to him and he doesn’t want to let them down.”
Training camp interruptions aren’t new for Fury. Fury described how he prepared for his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder last year in a recent interview: “Paris is heavily pregnant with our sixth child at the time and we have this little baby. She had a heart condition, a rare heart condition when she was born. And they couldn’t stop her heart from beating fast…I’m out training for Wilder 3, while I’m at Alder Hey Hospital sleeping on the floor… A world heavyweight championship fight with three weeks of training? No problem.”
And that is precisely the attitude that Fury will need to take down a hungry ‘WAR Chisora’.
