Tyson Fury: Anthony Joshua Has No Chance Against Me

Tyson Fury doesn’t believe Anthony Joshua stands a chance inside the ring with him.

Fury and Joshua are expected to get back in the ring at some point but it’s become a game of conflicting stories. Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing has insisted that a bout between Joshua and Fury will take place this summer. Fury’s team has claimed that Hearn continues to make false claims. As it stands now, Hearn is saying the undisputed heavyweight title fight will be held this August in Saudi Arabia.

If the fight does indeed happen, Fury is predicting a bad night for Joshua. Here’s what he told Fight Hype (via Bad Left Hook).

“Either way, if that Joshua fight happens it doesn’t go the distance — he gets knocked out. He is no good to me, none of these fighters are. He’s too slow, he’s too muscle-bound, he works on too much weight lifting and not enough speed. Too much power, no speed. If he holds a handful of stones and throws them at me, he may have a chance of landing something. But those big hooks, no chance.”

Fury hasn’t competed since February 2020 when he stopped Deontay Wilder via seventh-round TKO to claim the WBC and The Ring Heavyweight Titles. Joshua’s most recent outing took place back in December 2020 when he knocked out Kubrat Pulev to retain the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO gold.
