Tyson Fury: Anthony Joshua Is Tailor-Made For Me
Tyson Fury believes Anthony Joshua’s style plays right into his hands.
Fight fans have been clamoring for a title unification showdown between Fury and Joshua. Fury is the WBC Heavyweight Champion, while Joshua holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO gold. The two have agreed in principle to two fights.
During an interview with Wow Hydrate, Fury said he feels he’d be a nightmare for “AJ” inside the ring (via BoxingScene.com).
“The easiest opponent I think would be Anthony Joshua just because he’s tailor-made for me. If ever I could build a perfect opponent I’d be building him.”
Fury has made it clear that he wants to fight Joshua sooner rather than later. Back in October, he urged Joshua to step up and fight him sooner during an interview with talkSPORT.
“Joshua ain’t man enough for me. Have you ever seen a hot knife go through butter before? That’s what I will do. I will put him down like cheese, and that’s a promise! Tell AJ to grow a pair and let’s step up in December and fight! I’ve been training since March, twice a day, six days a week. I’m ready for this fight. I’m ready to go. I don’t need a big long training camp, I can be ready in three or four weeks, I’m always fit anyway. So let’s get this big AJ fight on, let’s get it on. If Wilder don’t happen, let’s fight in December and give the fans what they want to see. I’ll step up and I’ll smash Anthony Joshua into next week. I’ve got more boxing ability in my little toe than he’s got in his whole body.”
