Tyson Fury Blasts Anthony Joshua: ‘Tell AJ To Grow A Pair’

Tyson Fury has some choice words for Anthony Joshua.

Fury is the current WBC Heavyweight Champion. He’s expected to fight Deontay Wilder a third time later this year. The trilogy fight was initially set to take place in July but the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to that. The target date was then changed to December 19 but that won’t stick according to Top Rank Boxing’s Bob Arum. The bout could happen sooner due to some pivotal NFL games.

The hope is that Fury can handle business against Wilder and Joshua gets past Kubrat Pulev so that a title unification bout can take place. Joshua holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO Heavyweight Titles.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Fury didn’t mince words when talking about Joshua.

“Joshua ain’t man enough for me. Have you ever seen a hot knife go through butter before? That’s what I will do. I will put him down like cheese, and that’s a promise! Tell AJ to grow a pair and let’s step up in December and fight! I’ve been training since March, twice a day, six days a week. I’m ready for this fight. I’m ready to go. I don’t need a big long training camp, I can be ready in three or four weeks, I’m always fit anyway. So let’s get this big AJ fight on, let’s get it on. If Wilder don’t happen, let’s fight in December and give the fans what they want to see. I’ll step up and I’ll smash Anthony Joshua into next week. I’ve got more boxing ability in my little toe than he’s got in his whole body.”

Fury has amassed a perfect pro boxing record of 30-0-1. Joshua’s record stands at 23-1. “AJ” avenged his lone career loss by defeating Andy Ruiz Jr. in their rematch back on December 7, 2019.
