Tyson Fury Gives Deontay Wilder An Ultimatum
As we get closer to the end of summer, the countdown to a trilogy bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury continues to wind down. Is there any true update on the fight? The WBC and lineal heavyweight Champion in Fury wants to know.
Recently, Wilder (42-1-1) and Fury (30-0-1) agreed to face one another in December. It would be a trilogy bout, with the winner facing off against the winner of Dillian Whyte v. Alexander Povetkin. Although he has agreed in principle to fight Anthony Joshua in 2021, Fury is focusing his attention on Wilder. It appears that Wilder is nowhere to be found, however.
Since losing to Fury via TKO in February, Wilder has been silent. He has only been in the public to talk about the trilogy bout, and he is currently healing from biceps surgery. Due to COVID-19 and the surgery, it is unknown if Wilder will be ready by December. Fury is looking to “poke the bear” by calling out Wilder on social media.
“@bronzebomber where you at mush? The clock is ticking!! I’m not gonna wait for ever!!! There is other bums in the division that I want to eat for breakfast”

This is not the first time Fury has called out Wilder before. This time, however, he is expecting a response.
There were rumors the bout could be moved to 2021. Just in case, Whyte (if he wins) will be on standby to take Wilder’s place, per an order by the WBC.
