Tyson Fury Predicts Billy Joe Saunders Will Stop Canelo Late
WBC and The Ring Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury thinks Billy Joe Saunders will stop Canelo Alvarez.
Saunders will be going one-on-one with Canelo this Saturday night, May 8. Saunders holds the WBO Super-Middleweight Title, while Canelo is the WBA, WBC, and The Ring Champion. The action will emanate from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Fury has been showing his support for Saunders throughout the buildup for the fight. In a new video from Matchroom, Fury predicted a knockout victory for Saunders (h/t Bad Left Hook).

“Absolutely, 100 percent (Saunders is) gonna smash this [expletive]. 100 percent. I think he’s gonna give him a boxing lesson and smash him, stop him around about round 11 or 12. Really confident, honestly. Never been this confident about anything in me life.
“Billy’s gonna hit him with the jab, meet him straight with the jab, right in the mouth. Every time — ping, ping, ping! You’re gonna see something really special.
“Don’t make Canelo out to be some killer! He’s just a little man with a pair of boxing gloves on. That’s all he is.”
Many believe Saunders has been playing mind games going into the bout. The WBO Champion made a fuss about the ring size for his showdown with Canelo. His father, Tom, even claimed that the fight was off. The bout will be taking place as originally scheduled.
