Tyson Fury Volunteers To Train Joshua For Usyk Rematch in 2022

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has claimed that Anthony Joshua can retain his titles in the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk if he trains him.

The Gypsy King, who is due to fight Deontay Wilder on October 9, appeared on Fox Sports to offer himself as AJ’s trainer. Usyk had beaten AJ fair and square via decision at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.

They are expected to meet again in early 2022.

“I believe all heavyweights have a chance for sure, and I believe if I trained Anthony Joshua for the rematch with Usyk, he’d definitely win the fight,” Fury claimed. “Well, I’m offering my services to him [Joshua] to train him for his rematch, and I guarantee you that he’ll win. I’d get him to fight like a big man.”

The winner of Wilder vs Fury III is likely to fight the winner of the Joshua-Usyk rematch.

Earlier, Tyson’s father John Fury had pointed out that Joshua’s corner underperformed.

He said that the cornermen should have urged AJ to change the game plan after seeing Usyk get the better of him in the initial rounds.

John felt that Joshua was the bigger man in size, but the former champ never used his weight to his advantage which allowed the Ukrainian star to dominate from the beginning.
