Tyson Fury ‘Will Fight in November’ With or Without Anthony Joshua

The longer boxing is made to wait for a fight to materialize between heavyweight rivals Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) and Tyson Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs), the less likely it is to even happen.

That’s according to Queensberry Promotions founder, Frank Warren, who said Saturday that the clock is ticking because organizers need enough runway ahead of the tentative date so it can be marketed and promoted appropriately.

One hold up has been Joshua’s agreement indicating the fight takes place in Britain, with others involved in the fight wanting to move it to New York City so it airs on an East Coast timezone.

“It’s up to one man,” Warren said. “Tyson’s good to go, it’s all done. It’s up to A.J. My gut feeling is the longer it goes on the less chance you’ve got for it to happen because you’re coming towards the date, and they need to sell it.”

Earlier this week, Warren imposed a deadline of September 4 for Joshua to agree to the new terms or risk seeing the fight fail. Now, the promoter has said that his boxer will compete for a third time in 2026, regardless of what happens with Joshua.

“Tyson Fury will fight in November, whatever happens.”
