Tyson Fury Wishes Deontay Wilder A Happy 36th Birthday With ‘Lots Of Love’

Despite a heated history between longtime rivals Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, Fury still wished his “old pal,” Wilder, a happy birthday.

Fury took to Twitter and posted a video with his birthday greeting for his old rival. Wilder celebrates his 36th birthday today, October 22.

“Hey this is Tyson Fury, aka the Gypsy King. This is a very special happy birthday message to my old mate Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder,” he said. “Have a fantastic day, Wilder. Thank you for the great fights we had, the trilogy. Great fighter, awesome fighter.”

“I hope you have a fantastic day with you and your family and hope God blesses you abundantly,” he added. “All the best, lots of love, from your old pal the Gypsy King. All the best, God bless Wilder.”

Fury capped off their trilogy fight on October 9 with an 11th round knockout in Las Vegas.

Despite the loss, fans and boxing critics have applauded Wilder for lasting so long in the ring even when he went down two previous times and was visibly winded.

After the fight, Fury told Wilder in his corner that he respects him, but it was not initially reciprocated. Wilder, then days later, would come out with an official statement on social media and thanked his British rival for memories that will “last forever.”
