Tyson Fury’s Next Fight Already Set For September

Tyson Fury's next fight already set for September

Set to face Tom Schwarz on June 15, Tyson Fury is already looking towards the future. The lineal heavyweight champion spoke to BT Sport Boxing about fighting again in September.

In the interview, Fury (27-0-1) stated that he would be fighting three times in a six-month span for ESPN’s Top Rank promotion, including a September 28th bout against an opponent yet to be named.

As far as the third opponent, no date has been announced, but may land sometime in December.

The plan is similar to what Fury did in his 2018 comeback, fighting two warm-up fights in quick succession after sitting out two years due to mental health and substance abuse issues.

Fury last fought in December against WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, walking away with a controversial split decision draw against the Bronze Bomber. A rematch was being negotiated by both fighters until Fury’s surprise signing with Top Rank and ESPN earlier this year.
