UFC 223 Attendance, Gate, Bonuses

Despite a crazy series of events that saw multiple main event changes and a reduction of 13 fights to nine, UFC 223 still managed to draw a $3 million gate, the biggest for the arena since the UFC 208 event held last year.

A total of 17,026 came out for the event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Out of the seven UFC events in New York since the 2016 legalization of MMA, this event finished fourth in attendance, and it drew a bigger crowd than UFC 208.

The main card bout featuring Zabit Magomedshapirov and Kyle Bochniak was named Fight of the Night, while Chris Gruetzemacher and Olivier Aubin-Mercier earned performance bonuses.

Magomedshapirov defeated Bochniak via unanimous decision, Gruetzemacher stopped Joe Lauzon in the main card opener, and Aubin-Mercier defeated Bec Rawlings by decision on the preliminary card.
