UFC 227 Nets 300K Buys

The first numbers have rolled in for UFC’s return to pay per view, as 300,000 people have been estimated to buy UFC 227 on August 4th.

The show headlined by TJ Dillashaw knocking out Cody Garbrandt to retain the bantamweight title and Henry Cejudo taking the flyweight title from Demetrious Johnson, was estimated at 300,000 buys and drew the largest live crowd in for the UFC at Staples Center.

The number, which drew larger than expected numbers, would also be the second largest PPV number drawn for a bantamweight title fight in the main event, as Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber set the standard in July 2011 with just over the 300,000 mark.
