UFC 231 Nears 300,000 Buys
The second to last UFC pay-per-view of 2018 drew a $2.4 million gate on December 8th, and seems to have set a new record for Max Holloway as a draw on the platform.
Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Holloway’s headlining efforts at UFC 231 is on-track to land between 240,000-300,000 after initial estimates, as the UFC featherweight champion retained against Brian Ortega with a fourth-round TKO.
If the number does track higher than 240,000, it will mark higher than Holloway’s main event efforts at UFC 212 (200,000) and UFC 218 (230,000) against Jose Aldo.
The card from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto would put it on-trend with UFC 225 (250,000 buys), 227 (300,000 buys), and 230 (250,000 buys).
