UFC 242: Attendance, Gate, Bonuses
In a circumstance completely out of the ordinary, no attendance or gate figures were announced for UFC 242, which took place on Sept. 7 at du Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
According to UFC President Dana White at the UFC 242 post-fight press conference, the UFC “did not own the gate.”
No Fight of the Night was awarded for UFC 242; instead, four performances were handed out to: UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Ottman Azaitar, Muslim Salikhov and Belal Muhammad.
Nurmagmoedov submitted Dustin Poirier in the third round of their headline title unification bout to remain unbeaten and retain his UFC lightweight championship. It was his first fight back from his suspension following UFC 229.

Azaitar scored a first-round knockout of Teemu Packalen to open up the televised portion of the prelims.
Salikhov scored his own first-round finish of Nordine Taleb, while Muhammad picked up his first submission win by defeating Takashi Sato. Both bouts took place on the early prelim portion of the card.
All four men received an additional $50,000.
