UFC 244: Attendance, Gate, Bonuses
While the UFC 244 main event left bad tastes in people’s mouths, UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden can be considered a success financially.
A total of 20,143 attended the event — a sell-out crowd — and produced a gate of $6,575,996.19. Out of the UFC’s four events held at the historic New York venue, it is the second-highest gate. Only UFC 205, the first UFC event in New York following the legalization of MMA, produced a bigger gate.

Fight of the Night honors went to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson vs. Vicente Luque. The two produced a striking clinic, but it was Thompson who landed the cleaner, harder strikes and nearly finished Luque on more than one occasion over rounds two and three to come away with a unanimous decision win.
The FOTN was an MSG classic!
