UFC 250 Results: Amanda Nunes Vs. Felicia Spencer
In the center of Las Vegas, Nevada, Amanda Nunes is looking to expand her legacy. “The Lioness” is chasing history, while Felicia Spencer is looking to become a legend killer. Who will walk out the victor? It all goes down at UFC 250 inside the UFC’s APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nunes (19-4) is defending her UFC Featherweight Title for the first time since beating Cris Cyborg for it at UFC 232 in 2018. She is on a 10-fight win streak, taking out some of the top fighters in the UFC’s female division, including Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Valentina Shevchenko. A UFC Bantamweight Champion, Cyborg defended it twice in 2019; she beat Holly Holm via TKO at UFC 239 and Germaine de Randamie via unanimous decision at UFC 245.
By competing at UFC 250, Nunes will be the first fighter in UFC history to defend two belts while still holding onto them.
In her way is the “Feenom” in Felicia Spencer. The 29-year-old Spencer (8-1) joined the UFC in 2019 after a stint in Invicta. A former Invicta FC Featherweight Champion, Spencer beat Megan Anderson in her UFC debut. While she lost to Cyborg in the latter’s swan song with the UFC, Spencer still impressed. Spencer then beat Zarah Fairn Dos Santos in February to earn a shot at the title.
Nunes has the power and precision, while Spencer has the grappling and striking ability. Only one can call themselves champion following the event tonight, June 6.
