UFC 252 Results: Stipe Miocic Vs. Daniel Cormier III
Who is the greatest heavyweight in UFC history? That may be determined tonight, as the UFC Heavyweight Title will be on the line. One fighter is looking to keep his title while another will look to cement his legacy.
UFC 252 will be taking place inside the APEX Center. The main event will be Cormier v. Miocic for the title. This will be the third fight between the two.
Back in 2018, Cormier (22-2, 1NC), the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion at the time, moved to heavyweight and beat Miocic (19-3) for the UFC Heavyweight Title. Cormier knocked Miocic out in the first round at UFC 226. That fight took place in July.
It took a year+ for the rematch to take place in California. In August 2019 at UFC 241, it appeared as though Cormier was going to win again. Miocic, however, fought back. He hit several liver and face shots, winning via TKO in the fourth round.
Cormier, who is expected to retire after this fight, is 3-1 in his last four fights. Miocic is also 3-1 in his last four fights.
