UFC 261 Medical Suspensions: Chris Weidman Shelved Six Months After Leg Break

The UFC 261 medical suspensions are in.

UFC 261 was held on April 24 inside the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. In the main event, Kamaru Usman knocked out Jorge Masvidal to retain the UFC Welterweight Title in their rematch. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas knocked out Zhang Weili to become a two-time UFC Strawweight Champion.

As many would expect, Chris Weidman helps lead the way on the UFC 261 medical suspensions list. Weidman broke his leg off a checked kick against Uriah Hall, losing the fight via TKO. He’s been hit with a 180-day medical suspension. Valentina Shevchenko is also on the list, facing a six-month sit after her successful women’s flyweight title defense against Jessica Andrade.
