UFC 266 Bonuses: Alexander Volkanovski Vs. Brian Ortega Earns ‘Fight Of The Night’
Not only did Alexander Volkanovski retain his featherweight title and add his 20th straight professional win, but he also earned the “Fight of the Night” bonus along with Brian Ortega in their bloody showdown Saturday night.
Along with Volkanovski and Ortega’s additional cash, Chris Daukaus and Merab Dvalishvili were awarded “Performance of the Night” bonuses for their respective matchups.
“Fight of the Night” bonuses can range from $50,000 to $75,000 a piece for fighters who earn this recognition.

Volkanovski dominated most of the bout, but Ortega didn’t give it to him easily. Ortega dropped the champion in the third round and went for a guillotine choke, but was unable to finish as Volkanovski escaped the submission.

Daukus nabbed a knockout victory by battering his opponent, Shamil Abdurakhimov, via punches and elbows in the second round.
Dvalishvili was dropped several times, but somehow survived and landed a huge takedown, which was followed up with massive ground and pound in the second round.
“Performance of the Night” bonuses typically pay out $50,000 to its recipients.
