UFC 271 Medical Suspensions: Derrick Lewis Out For 60 Days
Derrick Lewis will have to wait some time before he can return to the octagon.
Lewis was handed a 60-day medical suspension following his knockout loss to Tai Tuivasa via a standing elbow in the second round. Tuivasa, meanwhile, will be sidelined for just seven days.
UFC 271 took place in Texas on Saturday. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation released a full list of medical suspensions from the event on mixedmartialarts.com.
Israel Adesanya retained his middleweight title via unanimous decision against Robert Whittaker, their second meeting. Both are suspended until February 28.
