UFC 274 Weigh-In: Charles Oliveira Misses Weight, No Longer Champion
Charles Oliveira weighed in over the lightweight title fight limit.
Oliveira, who was scheduled to make his second title defense against Justin Gaethje, weighed in at 155.5 pounds and could not make the weight on the second attempt. The weight limit is 155 pounds.
He has been stripped of the title and now only Gaethje has the chance to win the now-vacant title.
Charles Oliveira missed the 155-pound limit for his lightweight title fight after receiving an additional hour to lose .5 pounds and has been stripped of his title.

The current rules do not allow the one-pound allowance that is typically afforded in non-championship title fights.
On the first attempt, Oliveira weighed 156 pounds and then came in at 155.5 after undressing inside the cube.
The Brazilian champion was given an extra hour to lose the half-pound.
