UFC Apex To Welcome WWE’s Debut Event On June 9

WWE and the UFC have teamed up to bring NXT Battleground to the UFC APEX in Las Vegas on June 9.

It will be the first time WWE hosts an event at the arena, which has become an integral part of UFC Fight Night events. The NXT Battleground was initially going to go ahead on May 26 at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. However, that would have clashed during Memorial Day Weekend.

It would also have gone up against AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV card. Following the UFC and WWE’s merger to form TKO Group Holdings Inc. last year, combat sports fans can expect many further collaborations in the future. Michael Chandler recently appeared on Monday Night RAW calling out Conor McGregor before their fight was made official at the UFC 300 post-presser. Chandler has even hinted at a potential move to WWE, leaving the door open for many collaborations.

“We are always exploring new frontiers to showcase NXT and we are excited to bring Battleground to this world-class production facility in partnership with UFC,” WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels
