UFC Auckland: Felder Vs. Hooker Live Results

A friendly callout has turned into a rivalry out of nowhere. The octagon will be the place to settle the beef between Paul Felder and Dan Hooker in the latter’s own backyard. Today, February 22, the UFC returns to New Zealand for UFC Auckland. The event will be held inside the Spark Arena.

Hooker (19-8) is on a two-fight win streak, beating Al Iaquinta back in October at UFC 243. “The Hangman” is 6-1 in his last seven fights. via unanimous decision. The buildup to the fight started after Hooker’s win over Jim Miller back in 2018 via knockout (knee). The 30-year-old called out “The Irish Dragon”, who was interviewing him in the octagon. While the fight didn’t happen right away, patience ended up paying off for both men.

Felder (17-4) is also on a two-fight win streak and is 5-1 in his last six fights. He earned a split decision win over Edson Barboza at UFC 242 back in September. While he has called out Hooker, Felder has managed to catch the eye of Conor McGregor as well.

Ranked next to one another in the UFC’s lightweight rankings, Felder (6) and Hooker (7) are looking to gain extra momentum to secure title opportunities.
