UFC Baku Results And Highlights: Rafael Fiziev Stops Manuel Torres, Calls Out Oliveira
Rafael Fiziev needed a bounce-back win badly after the knockout loss he suffered earlier this year, and he found it in his home country of Azerbaijani on Saturday at UFC Fight Night Baku.
In the main event of the evening, Fiziev squared off with Manuel Torres, who was looking to continue his two fight win streak in the lightweight division. Through the first round, the striking was on display from both sides, with each fighter coming within millimeters of landing heavy shots with serious potential to end the night.
In the second, Fiziev came forward, immediately looking for his opportunity to score the knockout. It only took him fifteen seconds to find the right opening to capitalize on with a looping, spinning back kick, which connected just enough to stumble his opponent back. From there, Fiziev didn’t rush but kept serious pressure on in the form of heavy punches that eventually became too much for Torres to withstand, resulting in the finish early in the round.
Following the match, Fiziev took his time on the mic to thank the crowd and notably call out Charles Oliveira for a BMF title fight. Currently, Oliveira’s rank is No. 3 in the 155-pound division, and Fiziev is looking at a potential jump from No. 11 given his win this weekend.

Co-Main Event:
In evening’s co-main event, Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov got dropped early in the fight, but was able to battle back to earn the unanimous decision over Michel Pereira at 185-pounds. This win marks Magomedov’s sixth victory in the UFC, with his only defeat coming last year by decision to Michael ‘Venom’ Page. Meanwhile, Pereira has now suffered a fourth loss in his last five fights.
Following the victory, ‘Bullet’ took his opportunity on the mic to call out former middleweight champion Israel Adesnaya. While this bout would be a very interesting stylistic striking matchup, it seems like a bit of a long shot at this stage of the game for Magomedov, given he is currently unranked and Adesanya resides comfortably inside the top ten of middleweights.

Second Fastest Finish in UFC Lightweight History:
Earlier in the evening, on the preliminary card, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev achieved his third straight UFC win since earning his contract with the promotion on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025. He squared off with Julius Walker and impressed immediately with a lightning-fast knockout, only eight seconds into the first round.
Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev now holds the record for the seventh fastest finish in UFC history, and the second fastest in the lightweight division.
