UFC Brasilia Live Results
All eyes will literally be on the UFC today, as they will be the only major promotion holding an event today, March 14. Inside the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil, the UFC will be holding its UFC Fight Night 170 event.
Despite the coronavirus postponing multiple events, the UFC will continue, but without fans. It will be an empty arena, without media, as they are looking to be as safe as possible. The Brazilian commission will not be providing tests for fighters, however.
The main event will be Kevin Lee v. Charles Oliveira. Lee (18-5) is on a one-fight win streak after returning to the lightweight division. His last fight was a knockout-win over Gregor Gillespie at UFC 244 in November. OliveiraΒ (28-8, 1NC) is on a six-fight win streak dating back to 2018. He won three fights in 2019: a submission win against David Teymur, a TKO-win against Nik Lentz and a knockout-win over Jared Gordon back in November. The last fight was also in Brazil.
Lee is the only fighter that didn’t make weight yesterday. After attempting to cut weight a second time, the commission would not allow him to continue the process.
