UFC Busan: Attendance, Gate, Bonuses
The Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea had a total attendance of 10,651 that came to UFC Busan, which took place on December 21 and was headlined by Chan Sung Jung knocking out Frankie Edgar in the first round. The co-headliner was Volkan Oezdemir facing off against Aleksandar Rakic.
The gate for the event was not announced.
Performance bonuses went to The Korean Zombie and Alexandre Pantoja. Jung (16-5) dominated Edgar in their fight, utilizing his ground game to pound away at Edgar. While he was able to get up, Edgar had no answer for the right hand and elbows of Jung, who dropped him once again, forcing Marc Goddard to call off the fight three minutes in.
The flyweights continued to make noise, as Pantoja (22-4) knocked out Matt Schnell in the first round. Having the advantage from the get-go, Pantoja hit an enormous right that knocked Schnell down to the mat.
