UFC Confirms Three Title Matches For UFC 245
On Tuesday, the UFC officially announced that Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will headline the final UFC pay per view of 2019, as they square off for the welterweight title at UFC 245.
The fight negotiations, which were supposed to headline UFC 244, fell through and opened the door for the highly anticipated BMF title match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.
Now, Covington, who last fought in a dominant decision win over Robbie Lawler in August, will finally get his shot at the welterweight title won by Usman earlier this year against Tyron Woodley.
Joining the card is a UFC featherweight clash, as Max Holloway returns to the T-Mobile Arena to take on top-ranked contender Alexander Volkanovski, and Amanda Nunes defending her bantamweight title against former opponent Germaine De Randamie, who looks for revenge for her loss in 2013.
