UFC Expected To Return To The U.K. This Summer

The last UFC event that took place in London was a hit, and the promotion is planning to do it again.

On March 19, British fighters took UFC London by storm as Tom Aspinall dominated Alexander Volkov in the main event; Arnold Allen stopped Dan Hooker; Paddy Pimblett won by submission; and Molly McCain delivered a spinning-elbow knockout. The UFC will reportedly be back again in the summer, most likely in Liverpool.

Stefan Struve is one of the fighters who shared his thoughts about this return.

“I heard the UFC might be coming to Liverpool this year. I absolutely love Liverpool, I fought my way to a UFC contract in 2008 fighting for at the time the number 1 promotion in the UK, Cage Gladiators!” Struve said.

Nothing is official, and no bout is scheduled for this event.

The last time the UFC was in Liverpool was in May 2018 for an event that featured a welterweight title eliminator between Darren Till and Stephen Thompson. Till won by unanimous decision.

That event had an attendance of 8,520 and the gate brought in $1.3 million.
