UFC Heavyweight Breaks Down In Tears After $50,000 Bonus
UFC newcomer Tom Aspinall (11-2) couldn’t control his emotions when he got to know that he has bagged a hefty $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his Saturday fight.
The British heavyweight knocked out Serghei Spivac in the first round in the UFC Fight Night 191 co-main event.
The 29-year-old has been highly rated by the MMA experts ever since he arrived in the UFC in 2020. He has won all four of his UFC showdowns and is currently on a seven-fight win streak.
After one of his teammates told him about the fight bonus amid the post-fight photoshoot, Aspinall burst into tears and hugged his coach.
That performance earned him a POTN bonus 💸

Back in May, former welterweight champion Michael Bisping identified Aspinall as a major threat to the heavyweight division.
“He’s potentially a champion. He’s such a big guy, but he moves like a middleweight,” Bisping said. “He’s fast on his feet and very agile. He has the speed, which is important. Speed kills power and on top of that, he has the power.
The UFC commentator feels that he may not be good enough to challenge heavyweight crown-holder Francis Ngannou just yet, but he has what it takes to become an elite fighter.
“In the heavyweight division, you’ve got some monsters right now like Francis Ngannou,” the commentator said. “I wouldn’t be throwing him in against Francis anytime soon, but Tom’s last fight against Andrei Arlovski, a former champion, he defeated him pretty well.”
