UFC Hints At Introducing New Gloves
The UFC may introduce new gloves as they teased a special announcement.
The promotional outfit will hold its historic UFC 300 event this Saturday, featuring a headline bout between Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill. Just before the big event, the UFC could fix its major problem: glove gate. On March 30 at UFC Atlantic City, Nursulton Ruziboev beat Sedriques Dumas in controversial circumstances. The Uzbek fighter won the middleweight clash via a first-round stoppage. However, the sequence of events leading to the stoppage began with an eye poke. Despite replays proving that, the result has yet to be overturned.

On the same card, another similar incident happened. Chris Weidman secured his first win since his leg injury against Uriah Hall at UFC 261 in 2021 over Bruno Silva. Replays showed, however, that Weidman poked Silva numerous times, which resulted in his opponent going to the ground, giving the American the win. The decision was then overturned from a TKO into a technical unanimous decision win.
Now, the UFC has said it will have a ‘New UFC Equipment Announcement and Presentation’ after the UFC 300 weigh-ins on April 12, hinting at a new glove.

Trevor Whitman has been working on a glove that is insanely better than the UFC gloves. All those eye pokes can go away if they go to his glove
