Jon Jones’ relationship with the UFC fanbase has been a shaky one the past few years. While Jones’ skills and record inside the Octagon is on-par with some of the greatest fighters of all time, his personal and professional choices have left Jones a pariah among fans, writers, and members of the MMA community at large.
On Wednesday, the UFC released a video that is Jones speaking to a camera about his return to the UFC for UFC 232, and how he hopes to beat Gustafsson and gain “his” light heavyweight title back.
This has not been taken to kindly by the UFC’s fans.
In less than a day, the video has received over 100,000 views, but when you scroll down to the likes and dislikes… it does not look good for the UFC.
Over 5,400 dislikes, opposed to 2,200 likes for the video published by the MMA brand leader the day after Christmas.
When you look down to the comments, the fans of the UFC have unleashed their inner Don Rickels or What Say You podcast co-host Luis J. Gomez and are decidedly roasting the two-time light heavyweight champion.
