UFC Liverpool Averages 552,000 Viewers
In a weekend of international shows, the UFC’s rare Sunday afternoon show drew some eyes this weekend.
UFC’s debut in Liverpool, headlined by Darren Till’s five round decision win over Stephen Thompson would average an audience of 552,000 viewers on May 27th.
The three hour event, which aired on Fox Sports 1 would win the 18-49 demo against all other programs during that time period, and was up 11% from a year prior which featured Alexander Gustafsson’s win over Glover Texeira from Stockholm which averaged 496,000.
The Till-Thompson main event reached a peak of 811,000 viewers at one time, and the event would average 10,224 viewers on FOX’s FSGO and FOX Now apps.
Two nights prior, Bellator held their 200th event in London, but would air on tape delay. The event which featured Gegard Mousasi taking the Bellator Middleweight title from Rafael Carvalho, averaged 421,000 viewers. Friday’s number was nearly identical to the last Bellator tape delayed event on April 6th, which featured Benson Henderson defeating Roger Huerta on April 6th, with an audience of 420,000.
