UFC London Loses Fight Due To Weight Cut
With two days left till fight night, The UFC needed to scrap one of the fights set for UFC Fight Night 127.
The event set for March 17th at the O2 Arena In London, was scheduled for a twelve fight card, but has been set to eleven following Jack Marshman hitting an issue with his weight cut.
Marshman was set to fight as a welterweight for the first time against Brad Scott, but ran into issues while trying to get down to 170 pounds.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Marshman’s manager, Graham Boylan explained what happened.
“As with all athletes, the weight cut is always something that can go wrong, no matter how experienced you are in this game. Hopefully we can get this fight rescheduled ASAP. (Marshman) is not the first and won’t be the last – these things happen. All we can do is move on and learn from it. Jack would like to send his apologies to Brad and fans.”
The man who he was supposed to stand across from on March 17th, Brad Scott, took to Twitter to express his disappointment in the situation.
I would of gladly taken a fight at 185 if I knew he was struggling. I fought at 170 all the way to the Ufc. I then had staph really bad then got sick and lost lots of weight. That’s why I moved down

I’m making weight now and being a stand in. I’ll fight ww or middleweight if anyone gets injured
