UFC London’s Phillips-Todorovic Added To Cage Warriors 113

It isn’t just the UFC who have been looking to continue on with events. Cage Warriors will move forward with Cage Warriors 113, set to take place in London, England on March 20. The UFC commends the promotion, and will provide them with some extra exposure by adding a fight from their promotion to the event.

Cage Warriors 113, which will be behind closed doors (with refunds available), will feature John Phillips v. Dusko Todorovic from the UFC’s London event. This is according to Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan, who provided several updates via social media. Cage Warriors 113 will be shown live on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC bout 1: John Philips v Dusko Todorovic has been confirmed to take place @CageWarriors #cw113 Friday Night. The event will be broadcasted LIVE on @UFCFightPass as well as TV Networks around the World.

It is unknown if Cage Warriors will add any other fights from UFC London. The UFC’s event has gone through several changes as a result of the coronavirus.

“Since day one, we’ve aimed to provide the most respected platform in Europe for athletes to showcase their skills,” Boylan stated in a press release, via MMAJunkie. “Now we’re proud to do our bit to help some of the guys who lost their chance to fight on this week’s UFC card.”

Phillips (22-9) is riding a one-fight win streak. He last fought in September, beating Alen Amedovski via KO. Prior to that, “The Welsh Wrecking Machine” was on a three-fight skid. He is set to face Todorovic (9-0), who started his pro career in 2015. The last fight for the 25-year-old was against Teddy Ash back in August during Dana White’s Contender Series. He won the contest via unanimous decision.

The main event of Cage Warriors 113 will be Morgan Charriere v. Darko Banovic for the vacant interim Cage Warriors Featherweight Championship.

Cage Warriors and the UFC are two of the the rare organizations that continue to hold events despite major sports halting play. According to the latest from CNN, there have been over 152,428 cases of the coronavirus, with over 5,720 deaths confirmed.
