The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey had a total attendance of 10,427 that came to UFC Newark, which took place on August 3 and was headlined by Colby Covington facing Robbie Lawler in a Welterweight Title eliminator bout. The co-headliner featured Jim Miller facing Clay Guida.

The event produced a gate of $687,778 (in American dollars).

Performance bonuses went to Nasrat Haqparast and Matt Schnell. Haqparast took out Joaquim Silva via KO in the third fight of the main card, while Schnell easily dispatched Jordan Espinosa in the prelims via a triangle choke.

A women’s flyweight bout featuring Antonina Shevchenko and Lucie Pudilova earned Fight of the Night honors. Shevchenko won the bout following a second-round rear-naked choke.
