UFC News: Kelvin Gastelum vs. Ian Heinisch Reportedly Set For January 30

It looks like Kelvin Gastelum’s next fight has been revealed.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reports that Gastelum and Ian Heinisch have agreed to a matchup for January 30. The plan is to have this bout take place on a UFC Fight Night card. A location for the event has not been determined.

Gastelum last competed on July 19. He suffered a first-round submission loss to Jack Hermansson. Gastelum has lost three bouts in a row and is looking to snap out of his funk.

As for Heinisch, his last fight took place on June 6. He scored a first-round TKO victory over Gerald Meerschaert. Heinisch broke his own skid with the win over Meerschaert.

Heinisch was expected to share the Octagon with Brendan Allen earlier this month. That plan went awry when Heinisch tested positive for COVID-19. Now, he appears cleared to return to action.
