UFC Norfolk: Attendance, Gate, Bonuses

The Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia had a total attendance of 7,098 that came to UFC Norfolk, which took place on February 29, and was headlined by Deiveson Figueiredo knockout out Joseph Benavidez. Due to the former missing weight, the vacant Flyweight Title is still up for grabs. The co-headliner was Felicia Spencer beating Zarah Fairn.

The gate for the event was $402,958.

Performance bonuses went to Megan Anderson and Jordan Griffin. Anderson (11-4) knocked out Norma Dumont Viana in the very first round on the main card. Now on a two-fight win streak, Anderson may be one step closer to a bout with Amanda Nunes for the UFC Featherweight Title.

Griffin (18-7) beat T.J. Brown via submission in the second round of the prelims, via guillotine choke. “The Native Psycho” is back in the win column in the UFC following a two-fight skid. He won his first UFC bout against Dan Ige back in July 2018 during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.

Fight of the Night went to Gabriel Silva v. Kyler Phillips. The main event of the prelims, Phillips ( beat Silva via unanimous decision. The two put on an exciting affair that had the crowd on their feet.

Phillips (7-1) is now on a two-fight win streak. He has earned his first win with the UFC since his TKO-victory over James Gray Jr. during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2017. Silva (8-2) is now on a two-fight losing streak. He lost to Ray Borg back in July via unanimous decision in his UFC debut.
