Despite the fact that the card has gone through a lot of changes, the fighters at UFC on ESPN 10 are still looking to put on a show. Once again, the UFC’s APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada will host another fight night on June 13.
The main event will feature Jessica Eye taking on Cynthia Calvillo in a flyweight bout. Returning to flyweight in 2018, Eye (15-7, 1NC) has gone 4-1. Following a one-sided loss against Valentina Shevchenko last June for the UFC Flyweight Championship, Eye rebounded with a win over Viviane Araujo at UFC 245 in December.
Something to look out for is the mindset of Eye. She came into the weigh-ins over the limit, saying she couldn’t lose anymore. Eye also said at one point that she couldn’t stand. As a result, Eye will forfeit 25% of her purse.
This will be Calvillo’s (8-1-1) debut at flyweight following a run in the strawweight division. Calvillo has missed weight twice while fighting in that division. Her last bout was a majority decision draw against Marina Rodriguez in December. She managed to make weight yesterday and is ready to take over a new division.
Prelims for the event start at about 7 p.m. ET and the main card will be at 9 p.m. FIGHT SPORTS brings you live coverage of UFC on ESPN 10!
