UFC On ESPN 12 Salaries: Dustin Poirier Wins Big Both In And Out Of The Octagon

This past Saturday at UFC on ESPN 12, Dustin Poirier proved why he was a former interim UFC Lightweight Champion. As a result, he benefited from a hefty payday.

MMA Fighting revealed the payday the fighters who competed inside the UFC’s APEX Center on June 27 for UFC on ESPN 12 received. The main event saw Poirier (26-6, 1 NC) beat Hooker (20-9) via unanimous decision in a Fight of the Year contender. Poirier would end up taking home over $300,000 thanks to a $150,000 win bonus. He also earned an extra $50,000 for his keep of the Fight of the Night Bonus ($450,000 total). Hooker earned $110,000 + $50,000 for the other half of the FOTN bonus.

Without bonuses, the next fighter to earn the most was Mike Perry with $180,000. With only his girlfriend in his corner, Perry was able to beat Mickey Gall ($50,000) via unanimous decision.

Other fighters to benefit from the $50,000 bonus were Julian Erosa ($28,000) and Kay Hansen ($28,000), who each earned the Performance of the Night bonus.
