UFC On ESPN 14: Fight Night Bonuses
There were no fans in Abu Dhabi for UFC on ESPN 14 on July 25. As a result, there was no gate for the event on Yas Island.
The last event on “Fight Island” for now did not have a “Fight of the Night” but several performance bonuses were handed out.
The first “Performance of the Night” bonus went to Tanner Boser, who competed in his second fight of 2020 and a month after his last fight. After going 2-1-1 in 2019, Boser (18-6-1) knocked out Phillipe Lins in June and took out Raphael Pessoa tonight via TKO. The debuting Tom Aspinall earned the second bonus on the prelims as he only needed 45 seconds to take out Jake Collier. Aspinall (8-2) is now on a four-fight win streak after fighting for Cage Warriors.

Jesse Ronson ends the run of prelim fighters getting a bonus. The 34-year-old beat Nicolas Dalby with a first-round submission. Ronson (22-10) is now on a two-fight win streak.
Opening up the main card was Khamzat Chimaev, who the UFC is all in on. The 26-year-old from Sweden lifted Rhys Mckee up off the ground right away and landed a takedown. Chimaev would then hit significant ground and pound shots until referee Rich Mitchell would call the fight off. He is now 2-0 to start his UFC career.

A few fights later, Paul Craig would get a bonus for landing a triangle choke on Gadzhimurad Antigulov in the first round. Craig (13-4-1) is now 2-1-1 in his last four fights.
Finally, Fabricio Werdum would take out the returning Alexander Gustafsson in the latter’s UFC heavyweight debut. Werdum, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, would win via armbar. It was the 12th win via armbar for Werdum (24-9-1), who is now 2-2 in his last four fights.
