UFC on ESPN+ 33: Fight Night Bonuses

UFC on ESPN+ 33 has reached its end and that means the bonuses have rolled out.

The card was held inside an empty UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Light heavyweight action was front and center for the main event. Aleksandar Rakic took on Anthony Smith. In the end, it was the leg kicks and grappling of Rakic that were the deciding factors in his unanimous decision victory.

The co-main event saw welterweight action between Neil Magny and former champion Robbie Lawler. The wrestling and top control of Magny proved to be the difference-maker in this outing. Magny scored the unanimous decision win.

Taking home a “Performance of the Night” bonus was Mallory Martin. She nabbed a come-from-behind submission win over Hannah Cifers. It was a rear-naked choke finish in the second round.

Sean Brady also found himself earning a bonus for his efforts. Brady shared the Octagon with Christian Aguilera. Like Martin, Brady also scored a second-round submission victory. Brady’s finish came in the form of a guillotine choke, which put Aguilera to sleep.

“Fight of the Night” honors went to Ricardo Lamas and Bill Algeo. The two had a three-round barn burner that ended with Lamas scoring the unanimous decision victory. All bonus winners went home $50,000 richer.
