UFC on ESPN 9 Weigh-In Results
After multiple events in Florida, the UFC will be heading back home. Thanks to the Nevada Athletic Commission, the UFC will be holding events inside its APEX Center in Nevada. The first event back will be UFC on ESPN 9, taking place tomorrow, May 30.
Today at noon ET, the weigh-ins will be taking place. The main event will feature Tyron Woodley v. Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout. Woodley (19-4-1) is looking to get back to the top of the division. After winning the UFC Welterweight Title in 2016, Woodley lost the title in his last fight against Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. That was in March 2019, and Woodley has been waiting a long time to get what he believes he deserves.
Burns (18-3) is on a five-fight win streak dating back to the end of 2018. His last bout was a TKO-win against Demian Maia back in March. Ranked sixth in the UFC’s welterweight rankings, Burns is looking to make a statement against Woodley, the top-ranked fighter in the division.
